A conversation with Kevin Hin on WenCHAM’s blueprint for Global Prosperity
Kevin Hin explains how WenCHAM is giving entrepreneurs a seat at the global table.

Founded in 2025 under the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF), the organization is already active in nearly 20 countries, uniting entrepreneurs under a single global vision: advancing financial inclusion, digital access, and global prosperity through the power of entrepreneurship. In this interview, Kevin Hin, Director General of WenCHAM, shares how the movement is transforming entrepreneurs into global changemakers—and why “entrepreneurial diplomacy” could become the next frontier of economic development.

Kevin Hin, Director General, WenCHAM.
1. What is WenCHAM, and what makes it different from a traditional chamber of commerce?
“WenCHAM – the World Chamber of Entrepreneurs for Economic Development – is a global non-profit initiative under the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF), an affiliated partner of the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion, led by Baybars Altuntas who is also the Founding Global President of WenCHAM.
Launched in June 2025, WenCHAM has already expanded to nearly 20 countries across five continents. Its mission is to advance financial inclusion, digital inclusion, female leadership, and global prosperity through the power of entrepreneurship, built around three pillars:
Developing qualified entrepreneurs
Providing access to a global network
Promoting entrepreneurial diplomacy
Unlike traditional chambers of commerce that primarily serve corporations, WenCHAM’s members are individual entrepreneurs—ambitious changemakers who not only want to grow their businesses but also contribute to their communities and national economies. In essence, WenCHAM is more than a network—it’s a movement that gives entrepreneurs a global voice.”
2. What inspired the creation of WenCHAM? What gap or opportunity in the global business ecosystem were you trying to address?
“WenCHAM was born from three key gaps we observed in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
First, a knowledge gap: many entrepreneurs have brilliant ideas but lack the essential skills to pitch, execute, and scale them—whether in strategy, financial literacy, or investor relations. WenCHAM aims to transform them into qualified entrepreneurs who can attract qualified investors.
Second, a connectivity gap: too often, entrepreneurs operate in silos, limited by local markets or language barriers. WenCHAM opens doors to a global network of mentors, investors, and business partners, thereby eliminating any limiting factors or tunnel vision.
Third, a representation gap: despite their economic importance, startups and small businesses lack a unified global voice. WenCHAM seeks to fill that void by representing their interests before governments and global institutions, promoting entrepreneurship as a driver of inclusive growth.”
3. What kind of impact do you hope it will have on entrepreneurs and economic development worldwide?
“Our vision is to create a new generation of globally minded entrepreneurs who find fulfillment, purpose, and community in what they do. By promoting financial and digital inclusion, empowering women in leadership, strengthening local entrepreneurial ecosystems and promoting global prosperity, WenCHAM directly contributes to Agenda 2023 and many of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Ultimately, we want every WenCHAM member to feel connected to something bigger—a worldwide movement of entrepreneurs shaping economies, building prosperity, and championing collaboration over competition. When entrepreneurs grow, communities thrive.”
4. How will WenCHAM chapters work, and what kinds of programs or activities will members find there?
“WenCHAM operates at four levels—global, regional, national, and local—but the real impact happens at the grassroots level, where local chapters empower entrepreneurs to grow their ventures and create local impact. Our signature programs are built around WenCHAM’s three pillars:
Developing qualified entrepreneurs through Startup Studios, Venture Viability Bootcamps, Reverse Mentoring Circles, and Entrepreneur Wellness sessions.
Connecting to a global network via Business Bridge Cafés, Mentorship Circles, and Global Sourcing & Export Labs.
Promoting entrepreneurial diplomacy through Policy Roundtables, Economic Voice Reports, and Global Advocacy Missions.
Each chapter has the flexibility to adapt or design its own programs based on local needs, while staying aligned with WenCHAM’s global vision. Like startups, our chambers run lean—focusing on maximum impact with controlled resources.“
5. For entrepreneurs, investors, or organizations who want to join or support WenCHAM, what’s the best way to get involved?
“We’re currently in our global launch phase, with a flat annual membership fee of €100 to ensure accessibility and inclusivity worldwide. Entrepreneurs, investors, and organizations who share our vision can join as Founding Partners in their countries by completing this short form.
Before WenCHAM officially launches in any country, we open a six-week trial period to recruit at least 20 members, ensuring that each national chamber starts with strong engagement and real momentum. That’s why we’re seeking individuals with solid entrepreneurial experience, leadership ability, and strong local networks—people who can inspire others, mobilize communities, and translate vision into action.
Our ideal Founding Presidents are doers, not title-holders: leaders passionate about boosting their country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and ready to represent it on the global stage.”
